O tempo me guardou você (Time set you aside for me)

“O tempo me guardou você” [Time set you aside for me] marks the recording debut of Raquel Saraceni. It is an album full of sensitivity, which speaks of love and encounters. A work that gives us an accurate portrait into the artistic and private life of its protagonist.

The album arrived at just the right time and reflects Raquel’s artistic and personal experiences. One by one, composers and musicians friends were enlisted into the project.

“All of the positive reviews that we received were very important. They gave us confidence about what we were producing. Artists always want feedback from the listener: Singing just for ourselves is no fun. This kind of feedback is very encouraging”, Raquel remarked.

And the team of composers brought together by Sergio and Raquel Saraceni is one of the most refined.

It is a calm, lyrical

and enchanting album. For those who appreciate good music.

Career

Raquel’s career as an actress began early. At 17, she joined the company Teatro Oficina, in São Paulo, under the direction of José Celso Martinez Corrêa. In addition to her acting, she became a video director, in charge of the electronic archive

for the theatre's group.

To better understand where her passion for music comes from, we must go back in time. Her grandparents were French and her mother was born in Paris. Native of São Paulo, Raquel Saraceni grew up in a musical household:

"My mother loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Later I was raised by my grandmother, who loved classical music and the big names of popular music, like Noel Rosa, Lupicínio Rodrigues,

Ataulfo Alves, Dalva de Oliveira e Francisco Alves”

The eclectic soundtrack also included artists such as Elis Regina, Rita Lee, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Os Mutantes, Maria Bethânia, Ney Matogrosso,

Chico Buarque de Holanda...

Working as an actress in theater and cinema in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Raquel also performed as a vocalist before moving to France in 1991, where she remained for over two decades.

While working as a tour guide in Paris, she founded “Trio Sabiá"

with the guitarist Carlos Sandroni and percussionist Christian Duuvort. It was a way to have fun with music, despite any great ambition, just the pleasure of singing.

Years later, now in the French city of Nancy, Raquel joined the trio “Lucky Jazz”. During her stay in France, Raquel has specialized as an interpreter and studied film at the Sorbonne.

In 2012, when predictions said the world would end, a new life began for Raquel. “I reencountered a great love that I had when I was 20, we got married and returned to Brazil, to Rio de Janeiro.

It was this partnership in life and art that enabled this project to record an album become real”, celebrates Raquel.

Her youth love is now the experienced maestro and composer

of soundtracks Sergio Saraceni, who was responsible for the musical direction and two tracks on her CD.
